The Epic Games Store is hosting another free game giveaway. This week, users are offered the game Into The Breach, which at one time was included in the selection of " Editor's Choice 2018: Games " Into The Breach is a turn-based strategy game in which the player has to control a squad of huge combat vehicles defending the Earth from the invasion of giant kaiju monsters. The gameplay consists of a series of turn-based battles on 8 × 8 landscape maps, similar to chessboards. In each battle, you need to hold out for 5 turns, prevent the destruction of power plants in which civilians are hiding, and also complete additional tasks. By winning on maps, the player accumulates reputation points, with which he can purchase weapons and vehicle upgrades, as well as invite pilots for them. Pilots gain experience by destroying enemies and giving bonus opportunities to both their vehicles and the whole group. So, the player gradually frees the area of four islands with different landscapes from enemies in order to finally win on the fifth, final island.
